X-Ray Spex

Posted in Friends, Music, Skateboarding, Uncategorized on October 8th, 2008

I heard this song Oh! Bondage Up Yours! a couple years ago by X-Ray Spex, and since then have wanted to buy their CD.  Every time I went to Drastic Plastics and The Aniquarium downtown in Omaha I looked for this CD, but for over two years never found it.  Since Joe turned a quarter of a century old on 10.1 so we skated the CB park and stopped by downtown to check out some music.  Welp, they had it, I bought it, and it is SO GOOD!  Well worth the wait, but now I have to think of a CD to take its place because as of right now the game is over - which is why I never cheated and ordered the CD online or through any music stores.  I didn’t need the CD, so it was kind of fun to keep looking until it showed up.

Server Change

Posted in Friends, Updates, Work on July 22nd, 2008

I changed my webpages to a new server today. Can you notice? Exactly. Anyways, Eckert will probably be the only one to read this because:

A) I am going to redesign my site
B) Eckert and I actually just go to eachother’s sites to give it traffic

It’s 6:05 and I’m now finally leaving work…

I want to ride my bicycle

Posted in Friends, Random, Skateboarding on May 22nd, 2008

So recently Joe came up with the notion that we should start a mountain bike gang, and after he purchased a new mountain bike for $150 I decided to get mine out of storage. I bought my mountain bike in eighth grade, but after only using it for about a 3 month period I put it in storage because I just started riding my skateboard everywhere. So after getting my bike out of storage at my mom’s house I rode it to Ace Hardware and walked through the isles to try and devise a plan for some sort of rack to carry my skateboard around on. Well after walking through every isle about 5 times I found what I needed and made my way back home. Now without my skateboard on the rack the front of my bike looks like an elk’s antlers (which is by far totally frickin’ awesome!), but it is by far the ultimate modification every done to a bike because it fits my skateboard perfectly and makes it really easy to make a trip to the skatepark or a skate spot.

In just a weeks time I’m noticing a huge difference on how much gas I DON’T go through, and I’m saving myself a days trip to and from work (which if you aren’t aware is roughly 82 miles total a day). This is awesome! It’s such a simple solution and all it takes is sacrificing a little time for travel.

sacrifice a little time for travel = save money on gas, get some solid exercise (buns of steel), and enjoy a nice relaxing travel with my ipod jamming in ear canal. Sign up for the bike gang today! It’s the best decision you’ll ever make!

(blog. I really need to change the layout of my site soon so it’s not so bloggy.)

Weekend

Posted in Friends, Skateboarding on April 21st, 2008

Went to visit Eckert this weekend. Eckert, Chad, Joe, and I rode the concrete waves all day and got mad sun burnt. Great time though.

News!

Posted in Friends, Music, News, Projects, Work on April 4th, 2008

Eric and Lindsey Eckert had their 2nd child on Wednesday. Congrats! They now have two daughters. One that I have trained to be a professional gambler, and the latest addition will be a professional scuba diver.

Last night I went to the Slide Jam to meet some new people and support my coworker John Bunger with his 3D presentation. Everything went over great, and it was a lot of fun. Also, I met and talked to Matt Geiler for about ten minutes. Mainly about how much I miss his news show on KXVO.

Mine & Melissa’s new apartment is looking great! Got the new office/studio almost finished and I can’t wait to get some new projects rolling. Got some pretty big plans in the very near future…

** New Cloverpeep Page **

Posted in Friends, Movies, Projects on March 14th, 2008

I added a new Cloverpeep page with some random behind the scenes material. There is also a link in there to view the official trailer to stream online in very very high quality. Let me know what you think!

Cloverpeep

I’ve been working like crazy on Cloverpeep for the past couple weeks. It’s really starting to come out great though. Should have a video to add in the next couple weeks. Keep a look out!

It’s about time I redesign my site too… once Cloverpeep is finished my next plan is to get rolling with something new and funky fresh. Until then, just be sitting on the edge of your seat for Cloverpeep!

Scott Schaller for Mayor!

Posted in Friends, News on February 14th, 2008

Spread the word, Scott Schaller has officially placed himself in the bid against Skip for the Mayor of Fremont! Sorry, but it’s time to step down Skip. 30 years has gone by quick, but it is time for Fremont to plan for the future. We can’t sit at idle anymore and we need someone that is going to help Fremont move forward. Congrats Scott!

Havoc Films has your back too!

Super Ramp

Posted in Friends, Skateboarding on February 10th, 2008

Snowboarding was pretty fun yesterday. I spent most my time filming, but the ramp that Brent built was insane! Well played.
